This is a vets in a new building on an industrial estate and whilst the vet himself was very pleasant and spoke a little English the whole place had an awful smell about it and was the most expensive we have been in so far costing €75.00.

This is the best vets so far as it only cost us €19.80 for both dogs!! The surgery itself was clean, tidy and whilst we have limited German and they limited English we worked out how to book an appointment and the dogs were soon sorted with their passports stamped.

We were staying at an aire at Villandry which is 1 mile from vets. This was booked by lady at tourist information office in car park at the aire.  The vets is located in a residential street with houses either side, the building looks like a shed but does have adequate parking outside for a motorhome.  When we entered it is open plan so that we could see the vet operating on a cat! I found this fascinating but some might find it rather strange. The vet himself could not speak any English but with sign language and a bit of pointing etc. we got by.  He is very friendly and didn’t seem to mind our limited French.  The dogs had an injection instead of tablets (a first for us) and the bill was a reasonable €52.00. 8/10

This is easy to find – just off the dual carriageway in an industrial park that has plenty of parking and you can drive in one way and out the other.  There is a marvellous patisserie just down from the vets! Very modern facility, clean and tidy and friendly.  When I called they had limited English but with my little French. Reservation, deux dogs, passport, Lundi, dix, we got by.  The cost was a little on the high side at €75.00 euros but it needs to be done to get home so we just accept it all. 7/10 due to cost only.

This vets was booked for us by the local campsite when we stayed at Vincelles near to Auxerre.  It was in a small market square and we were able to park as it was a bit of a ghost town.  They were extremely pleasant and the charge was €60.00 which was the cheapest but not the most expensive either. 7/10

A vets now in a brand new building on an industrial estate just off one of the motorway junctions so easy to access.  The receptionist didn’t speak English but she managed to understand my very basic French.  A nice new clean practice and the vet speak perfect English and was very good with the dogs. Cost €39.65 which is about average and we consider this a good price for two dogs. 9/10
